The Rhododendron
by Anna J. Boll
Stumble on a bush
all abuzz with busy bees,
Gathering pink pollen
just as slowly as they please.
Their striped bodies tumble
into fragrant blossom cups,
Then drunk with pollen powder
they can hardly bumble up.
Perfect for this week–both the poem and the photograph. So many rhododendrons in bloom right now. You might consider a few less words–
Stumble on a bush
abuzz with bees,
Gathering pink pollen
as slowly as they please.
